Day 1124-1147
Happy birthday Marjorie, we need to go out for supper! TTYL about that. Main is coming up too, and Glenn has bee doing income tax, so no more presents for me! I hate income tax! It is nice that Glenn does it again, we can tweak it a bit yet. Last year we left it too late and got caught at the end of April.
We had a good Easter, and the shower for Colin and Chelsey was fun. My sisters did a good job feeding us and keeping us entertained. I made Easter dinner, and was happy to have company, we all ate too much, but a bit of normalcy is returning. Next time may be in the new house.
The house is moving along fast now. We are meeting with the cabinet maker on Thursday, and went shopping for flooring yesterday. The prices are a bit mind boggling, we should have done this before the "boom", but who knew? They have insulated it, and it is wired. The rough plumbing is in, and the soffit and fascia has been installed. It looks nice. Glenn can move around in it quite well, and always wants to go over and have coffee in it. It has been a bit chilly for that though.
We got the quad and Glenn has been bombing around the fields in it. I went along the first few times, but he manages quite well. What a feeling he must get to be able to drive himself around again! It was a big loss for him. He just laughed the first time he drove it. It is a bit tricky to get him into it, but we are figuring it out. He is pretty safe in it too, as it has a roll bar and seat belt, that keeps him in place.
I have a physical tomorrow, so I will be returning a few sample to the floor store. There are many choices, and we are going to take our time and ask many more questions about the right stuff for a wheelchair house. I thought about Glenn walking too, so it can't be too soft or slippery, and the more I think about it the more things need to be addressed. We have the time, and as much information as possible to help with the decision.
