Day 1067 - 1080
We haven't seen much construction, the storm put a bit of a kink into it, but they have dug out now, and I think something should start again soon. Colin and Chelsey's house has been shingled, and the plumbers and electricians have been out, so there is progress there.
Glenn has been having fun with a new and good laptop. He bought it a couple of weeks ago, so he is loading it up with programs. It has a terabyte hard drive, 8 gigs of RAM, a web cam., a bluray player and so on and so on. Needless to say it is wireless, so he can sit in the recliner and surf the web. I took his mom to the optometrist yesterday, and when I got home that is exactly where he was. I made a plate up for him and he had supper there. I had just picked up a bucket of chicken, so it was a take out meal anyway.
He got a new cushion for the chair, and it is quite a bit harder than the old one. He has to sit back in the chair better, and finds himself sliding forward more often. It will loosen up soon enough.
I took him into Costco with me the other day, and although I only wanted to fill a prescription, we managed to spend over $300.00! I shouldn't take him through electronics, the man is an addict! However, we did purchase a security camera, so that he can see who is at the door before he gets there. Perhaps we need an intercom too. We will think about that some more.
He is so distracted by the computers, he doesn't do as much exercise as he could. When the weather breaks, he does like to go out though, so that is a bit of a change from last year. He pretty much kept to himself last year, so it is nice to see him take more interest.
Wedding plans are being finalized. It will be here before we know it. I did book a room at the hotel for us, it will be easier for us to manage, I think, if Glenn can go and have a break or even go to bed when he wants too. There is a lot of work to do next spring, I don't really like to think about it all. One day at a time.
Happy birthday to Holly and Dale's is coming up fast. Jackie and Johnny are planning to celebrate their first anniversary tonight and tomorrow. I am skirting around the anniversary of Glenn's stroke, but it is going to be 3 years on the 13th. In many ways, that is hard to believe. We seem to be a bit more normal, and can manage with less stress than before, but there are days, and I think menopause has something to do with it, when I could just kick something! That is probably what would have happened anyway, so I don't worry about it too much. Usually the next day, everything is OK, and we carry on.
'Til next time,
Louise

COMPUTERS! COMPUTERS! COMPUTERS!
Hooray for them! I seem to remember many years ago a man not really caring to learn about them and now look at him. They cause me much distraction so I applaud the "geeks". the new computer sounds like it is super charged. Glenn, you still have to speak and move no matter what. People around you will have to dust you. You won't like that.
The wedding invitations have arrived. They are beautiful.
Happy Birthday, Dale.
I was wondering about that storm. I thought maybe it would blow in pretty badly around the site. I would say that patience is a virtue but you already live that one to the fullest. Berit hates that saying because I have used it in regards to relationship to her brother. I have been told to not say it anymore.
Happy Anniversary, Jackie and Johnny.
"Tomorrow is a new day!"
Love, M
