April 15 - May 4

Day 1148-1168
Wow! Where did April go? Between birthdays, wedding showers, recitals, and afternoons in the ER, we have been occupied. The wedding is zooming up fast, and I spent a fruitless day searching for a dress. I am not alone. Most women, whether large or small, have a hard time finding a dress. I guess Regina shop keepers don't know how to order them in!
Glenn did have an A Fib episode that sent us to the hospital on the 24th of April. His heart was racing along at 198, yes, 198! It was basically fluttering, and we couldn't even feel a pulse. They tried a different medicine, but had to do a cardio-version to get it into normal rhythm. It is always nerve racking to watch happen, but Jackie and Johnny were along for support, which I really appreciated. Glenn felt kind of feeble on Monday, so we skipped therapy and crashed for the day. I had had the recital on Sunday the 25th, so all in all it was a full weekend.
The houses are clipping along now, and the drywall is being put up in Colin's, and they expect to deliver our drywall this week, so we have pretty well caught up. Our furnace is installed, and the next major item is trenching. The yard isn't as bad as I first thought it would be, although the weather has been wet for a week now.
I don't know when I'll get around to posting again, it is hard to remember, and I think that has a bit to do with my advancing age! It's like the joke about why women in their 50's don't have babies. The fact is they would probably put them down somewhere and forget where it was!
Happy birthday to Elaine, Patricia, Curtis, Darcy, Darren, Wendy and at the end of the month John. On the Mitchell side, Shirley will be 80 on the 16th, so we will be celebrating with her. Also, Happy Mother's Day to all and have a nice meal out with your family!
'Til next time,
Louise

I really enjoyed your birthday get together at Jackie and Johnny's.You don't look a day older than 53. You can't always believe everything you read.
I hope Glenn is feeling better. It is great that the kids are all so close by.
I have said it before, I can't believe that you get everything done that you do. You'll be able to do at 60, too, you know.
Take care.
