Day1194-1214
We are thinking very seriously of building an ark and gathering up the animals 2 by 2! We are not only wet, we are soaked, and missed a heavy rain that has flooded the west of the province. We don't know when Colin and Chelsey are coming home, but I think they are in the mountains, and away from the worst of this.
Glenn is stuck in the house when it is so muddy, but he does go onto the deck to do some stretches and walking. He is tanned, and I guess that is a sign of some sun shine. He's well and enjoyed the wedding. We had booked a room in the hotel, so it was good to be able to go there for a break during the day. His tux fit well, and he was able to visit with a few people, though not as much as he would have liked. It would be nice to have his speech back a bit more, and it continues to improve, but we are impatient at times.
Chris's convalescence is going well, he is improving, and rebuilding his strength. He is in the zone where he has to be careful about over doing his strength, that could cause more injury and that would set him back badly. He is getting stir crazy, and hopes to be able to get back to work with light duty so that he is earning a wage, and occupying his time. He was able to attend the wedding, and stayed and visited the night away, although he stayed sitting at the table, and was careful of his wounds.
The Wedding was great, the kids were great, the food was great, even the weather was great, and a good time was had by all. If there were problems, they were small.
The houses continue to progress, but the lousy weather has caused some delays there as well. They are both stuccoed now, and our garage is ready for cement. We will eventually have to have the trenching done, and I really hope the weather stabilizes before that happens, because I don't even want to think about the yard all torn up and rain and more rain on it!
'Til next time,
Louise

Rain, rain go away!
We always need you
So come back when
Really need you!
Sad isn't it! Pitifual poetry and potholes and sloughs constantly growing.
The wedding was wonderful. Such a handsome couple and warmth and happiness.
I was thinking how Glenn is housebound through all the rain and mud. I did forget about the deck. At the new house won't he be able to walk the deck/porch around the house? If so, the scenery will change.
Glad to hear that the Chris is improving. Timing is important.
Will you have sump pumps in the house as well?
Take care, M.
