Day 1303-1313
Hmmm... where to begin. We have been sleeping, eating and showering in the new house since last Saturday , Sept. 24. It is working out well, although we don't have enough apparatus up yet. I have been working full time at the store, so that put a crimp into unpacking and setting up tools. We haven't got the TV antenna hooked up and the internet antenna hasn't been moved yet, so unfortunately Glenn has been a bit bored. He also shorted out the joystick on the power chair, so has had to move around in the manual chair, which has its pros and cons. The first day after it happened, (he gave the chair a bit of a bath) I brought him to Avonhurst with me, but he firmly refused to come a second day, so I had a bit of tension that day and kept calling him to be sure he was managing alright. It was probably a good thing for him to have to physically move himself around, it is pretty easy to just sit in the power chair and go. I have to wait until October 14 before the repair shop will look at it, so he will get a bit better at it as we go.
My cold got to be pretty miserable, and I'm still a bit congested. It has been very eventful.
The house is great if I do say so myself. Jackie decided we needed to sleep in it last Saturday, they got together and packed and moved some furniture on Saturday while I was at work. We had another good go on Sunday, and the guys got the piano moved too, so we made real progress. I think we will have another group effort tomorrow, and then I should be able to unpack and sort through all that has come over. There is the big freezer and another piano to move from the basement. I am filling up the shelves, but will organize and throw out more stuff as we go along. It is better now that we have started, and the weather has certainly co-operated. I will sleep in tomorrow though.
'Til next time,
Louise

Wow! It must be a great feeling to be in your new home.It all takes time, though. I'm glad you got group support the move.
there always seems to be the trials and tribulations along the way. I hope that all that can be straightened out soon.
Look after yourself. There have been some nasty colds around already. Get as much sleep as you can. Are you working full time now at the store?
Take care. Love, M.
